Easy Examples of how to Write Limerics- a Bumblee Bee example limerick
60
Limericks consist of five lines: the first line must rhyme with the second, and the fifth line must rhyme with the first and second. The third and fourth lines must also rhyme. Here are a few performance examples of how easy and fun a limerick can be.
The Girl and the Pet Bee
There once was a girl who owned a pet bee.
She had trained it to balance on a cup of tea.
One day, the bee tiptoed across a strange, unfamiliar teapot,
And the teapot was too hot,
And so that was the end of the bee.
The Cat who loved to Jump
There was a cat who loved to jump,
But he doesn’t know this could cause him a huge stump.
One day, he tried to jump a fence,
And got his tail stuck in the fence
And now he has a bruised bump.

I like the way the limerick writing comes easily to you. I have difficulty doing that, especially trying to find things to rhyme rhythmically. Thanks.
