On January 20, 2011 the first season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills finished with an “Unforgivable” finale.
Camille Grammer - the Dubious Housewife
The housewife most affected after the show’s first season, Camille will be ending her 13 year marriage with famous A-list actor Kelsey Grammer. Did he want Camille to go on the show so she would have a life of her own? And, if so, does he feel less guilty about leaving her?
In the last episode, Camille confides in her friend DD and tells her she knows of the other woman living in the New York apartment. The building’s front desk staff didn’t even know she was Kelsey’s real wife!
Will she return for another season and continue to slander Kyle?
Will she collect on Kelsey’s money and live in Miami?
Kyle Richards – the Cool Housewife
Married to Mauricio Umansky, high-end realtor with Hilton and Hyland Realty, and aunt to famous Paris Hilton, Kyle remains a one of a kind housewife: fun, charming, dependable, and a great mother, (Episode: “Turn, Turn, Turn”) but a forgiving sister? This will only be resolved, maybe, in the next season.
And if Camille returns, will she also continue battles with her?
Next season could be very tumultuous for Kyle. Will she able to remain cool under the pressure?
Taylor Armstrong – the Confused Housewife
A seemingly confused woman, she never seems to remember what she says or how things played out (I.e. New York trip). She may be a mystery even to herself.
Married to the venture capitalist Russell Armstrong – the one who bought the puppy for their daughter Kennedy knowing she is severely allergic to canine fur. Her husband put her in a position of appearing as ‘the horrible mother’ for wanting to get rid of the puppy (Snowball) out of concern for her daughter’s health.
Then, Russell wouldn’t even dance and have a good time at Mauricio’s birthday party hosted by his wife, Kyle Richards. On the limo ride to Taylor’s birthday party, Russell was completely consumed with texting/web-browsing on his phone.
Taylor is an energetic, smart woman living her life, but continues to accept hostility from her husband. She deserves to enjoy her life, not be run down by a seemingly uninterested man.
What will come from their trip to Mexico?
Will Taylor leave her husband?
Adrienne Maloof – the Replaceable Housewife
The least interesting, easily replaceable housewife, Adrienne, is married to renowned plastic surgeon, Dr. Paul Nassif. She is like the typical housewife we suspect to come out of Beverly Hills – married to a plastic surgeon and a woman who loves to glam it up.
At Kyle’s daughter’s (Farrah) graduation party, Dr. Nassif and Adrienne were seeking marriage advice from Kyle’s mother-in-law (marriage therapist with a doctorate in sex therapy) (Episode: “Turn, Turn, Turn”)
Will Adrienne and Dr. Nassif survive their combative marriage?
Kim Richards – the Spirited Housewife
Sister to Kyle Richards, and Disney child star, Kim has had to comeback from several divorces while caring for her four children alone. Fans root for her success in life and hope she will find her right man. Lisa even attempted to set her up at a dinner party, (Episode: “My Mansion is Bigger than Your Mansion”) but nothing transpired.
In the final episode, Kim and her sister, Kyle, have a fierce verbal battle at Taylor’s 30th (double-gulp!) birthday party. Will the sisters be able to make amends and move on? Will Kim consider a return for the next season?
Lisa VanderPump – the Empathic Housewife
Owner of the “sexiest restaurant” in Beverly Hills (Villa Blanca – where most episodes of the show take place), Lisa loves life and remains undeniably loyal to her husband Ken Todd of now twenty-nine years. They have four beautiful dogs absolutely adored and treated like their babies; Giggy, Lisa refers to as her gigolo.
Cedric (French hottie), her permanent houseguest for over a year, is her grown boy toy. He assists her everywhere: serves her tea at their mansion, sets up for charity functions at the restaurant, and he’ll even go drag-queen (Episode: “Payback’s a Bitch…Just Ask Your Husband”). Cedric opened up to Lisa about his past explaining he was the result of his mother’s rape, which may be the reason why she has very little relationship with him. “How is anybody going to love me?” he asks playing on Lisa’s emotions. He doesn’t want to leave their mansion because he loves feeling like he’s part of a family unit. He’s afraid if he leaves, they will forget him. He claims he hates being a burden “but I have to be able to ask, right?” (Episode: “Turn, Turn, Turn”) But, Ken, Lisa’s husband, does not approve of Cedric living with them anymore.
Will Cedric be thrown out of the mansion for good?
Lisa attempted in vain to patch up the turmoil brought about from the New York trip. She attempted to be a moral compass for Taylor and have her recognize she created the fiasco in New York by not keeping her mouth shut (Camille and Kyle don’t need anyone else creating drama for them), but Taylor instead accuses Kim of not having Kyle’s back.
The Reunion
The reunion next week on Bravo could become absolute fireworks of catastrophe.
